[link] He was very gracious and gave me permission to upload his drawings here seeing as Im Mrcappy. In other words, these arent stolen unless you think I plagiarized myself. Note: the word is expositions, not explosions. Flex those reading comprehension skills my art buddies! I only had one picture planned relating to Revenge Of The Fallen, but the mainstream reviews are pouring in for ROTF. And Im wholly convinced at this point that its a concentrated effort to make Michael Bay so depressed that he commits suicide. Most reviews state that the movie is so bad that the action scenes arent even worth a second watch thru. Interestingly, some reviews then go on to claim there needed to be MORE plot, like developing the Transformers personalities. Ehh. Im a firm practitioner of OMGism, meaning that computer graphics should be used to create scenes that are impossible to do in real life. It just dumbfounds me when movies spend millions of dollars to render something mundane like rain in a scene instead of, I dunno, spraying a hose at the lens for a total budget of $3.74. Likewise, if you want to watch Optimus Prime sipping earl grey tea whilst reminiscing about his youthful summers at a Cybertronian orphanage, then just put Peter Cullen in that Optimus voice changer mask. Use the computer to make him FIGHT that cup of tea! What I expect from a thousand-bucks-a-second computer program is to have robots creating more gas explosions than Free Taco Tuesdays at Marias Mexican Restaurant. In fact, Cappitron would go so far as to suggest that that ALL PLOT could be removed and make the final film like a two hour videogame cut scene. Cappitron would also vow to stop referring to himself in the third person if this is accomplished. Now, some of even my most devout watchers are thinking to themselves, But think about all the depth that can be added to the story by learning about each Transformers personality, their back story, their opinions of the war Oh, how soon we forget. This is a very slippery slope, and I want to direct you to an example of when a 3-D film has so much convoluted character depth that everyone practically drowns: Final Fantasy: Advent Children. Im sure you remember last week when you invited your weeaboo friends over to eat pocky, snuggled your crappily hand-sewed Sephiroth plushie, and popped in the DVD to kick off your tradition of Advent Children month. Whats that? You dont have that tradition? Thats because you havent watched the film in its entirety since you first saw it. Advent Children is the most mediocre film ever made. Even more mediocre than that documentary on the worlds most mediocre films. Cloud sits around and talks about his feelings that were supposedly wrapped up in the actual game. Tifa listens to Cloud, and then feels obligated to talk about HER gameplay feelings. Then the generic villain triplets with perfectly quaffed hair and Hot Topic apparel talk about their feelings, and then take their shtick on the road and begin talking about how OTHER characters are probably feeling. Youre left starring at the characters realistic-faces-yet-nightmarishly-enlarged-eyes for eighty percent of the film. Its like the director dares you to stick with the story until you see some action and most of that action is like an uninspired kung fu movie. Just imagine this Japanese programmer, sitting at a desk, making buttloads of money, at hour seventy-two, rendering characters sitting at a desk. Thats gotta be some type of metaphor. There is absolutely no reason why that film couldnt have been shot with real actors in a junkyard. Huh. I have absolutely no clue as to where I was going with this. -The Transform And Roll Out Of A Tangent Cappitron |

However, I feel moved to comment on your comments. ^_^
Please, please don't take this the wrong way because in no way do I mean this to be rude! If I do offend you, I honestly apologize!
It deeply saddens me when people say that they cannot find awe in the "mundane" things anymore. Have our lives become so hectic that we can only notice beauty if it slaps us in the face or drives over us? The forces that cause the rolling gold and black flames of an oil explosion are the exact same natural forces that cause the tiny colored flecks of color that appear when light bounces off metal in the rain. Why is one less mundane than the other?
I'll admit, Advent Children was rather boring ^^, but we both know that not all computer animated movies with character development end up that way. Take Toy Story for example. It used top of the line computer graphics and still managed to be both very fast paced and deeply emotional.
Personally, I like to see CG used for everything and any little thing because it shows me how much an artist loved doing their work. It's the amount of effort put into things that gets me hooting and gasping! Sometimes I just can't believe how much love an artist must have for their work to put so much time, effort and money into it! In Transformers, one of the biggest "OMG!!" factors for me was the reflections on Prime's armor and how they shifted PERFECTLY when he moved. I was ASTOUNDED that someone somewhere worked so hard to make them so realistic!
On the other hand, I'm glad that there are people who liked the movie just the way it turned out. And honestly, I loved it even though I also found it very lacking. ^_^ It would have been really sad had no one enjoyed it--because it really was a beautifully mad. I just don't understand why it couldn't have been made in a way that would have given everyone a little of what they wanted. I didn't need to have Optimus drinking a cup of earl gray tea (XDD That's really funny to think about!), but I wouldn't have minded at least seeing the Autobots admit that they even cared that Optimus died. They could have even blown up buildings while expressing their grief. I would have totally been ok with that. XD
I hope I did not offend you with my comments! Again, if I did I really do apologize! I hope I didn't totally bore you with my own opinions. *runs and hides now*

and when real action begins..it's so freaking slow you think th ematrix is palyign tricks again...
but lol! I never consdiered how woudl it be to be one of the programes of that film... most of them comitted suicide, I just know it!
oh, but this is a TF comic! so I at teh very least I have to talk about the image!
let's see!
Love the grass. and Megs eyes... but is it wrong that I'm imagining a scene of Benjamin Button?
as for the movie... after watchign ti four times, I have to conclude that the plot coudl have been better stiched... that or they could have added MORE ROBOT FIGHTS!

"We're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance."
- Japanese proverb
That said, it's a Transformer movie. I want to see Giant Alien Robots kicking ass and taking names, not listen to some long internal monologue about the injustice of it all.
I probably should have prefaced that movies -like- Transformers don't need expositions, whereas Pixar farts out gold muffins with diamond sprinkles because that's what's been expected of their genres.

Conversely (that means opposite!), this was a great example of praising my art.
